We are looking to add a Principal Test Engineer I for Flight Systems Software to our team supporting Test & Integration, onsite.  If you are excited about working in a dynamic environment and are passionate about developing critical test systems for leading-edge satellite, spacecraft, and aerospace communication systems, we would like to hear from you.  

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide technical expertise for Flight Systems development through test and delivery of spacecraft systems, ensuring delivery of a system that meets our customers’ technical performance specifications and their mission needs
  • Provide leadership to test engineering activity generating engineering documents including specifications, interface control documents, test plans, and prioritization that may include developing the overall verification plan and approach, defining System Integration & Test Plan, defining System Simulator requirements, and defining System STE and GSE requirements.
  • Support on-orbit mission operations with knowledge gained from integration/test activities.
  • Lead and participate in integration and test readiness reviews along with post-operational briefings.
  • Analyze, document, and present integration and test data to support verification activities.

Successful candidates will require, as a minimum:

  • Minimum of a B.S. degree in aerospace, electrical, or related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of 9 years experience including prior significant roles on spacecraft or related systems assembly, integration and test operations. 
  • Must have prior experience in multiple stages of satellite and component development including early design for test, test operations, and operational missions.
  • Experience in requirements management, system design, integration, and test.
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting language such as Python, willingness to learn new ones.
  • Ability to work in space manufacturing environments.
  • Demonstrated skill at driving and questioning design and customer requirements
