Omitron, Inc. is looking for an ATLAS Orbital Analyst to join our team at Vandenberg Space Force Base, CA.  This person will be part of a team supporting the initial operation and fielding of the Advanced Tracking and Launch Analysis System (ATLAS) for use in the US Space Force’s Space Situational Awareness (SSA) and Space Domain Awareness (SDA) mission.  This position will require candidates to be on site FULL TIME and will include a non-standard work week (weekends) as necessary for project success.  Though this position is intended to support standard work hours, candidates may be required to support occasional non-standard work hours as part of a rotating 24/7 crew schedule.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily functions on the initial ATLAS system to include manual differential corrections, multiple piece separations, launch processing, maneuver processing, reentry processing, and fragmentation event processing.
  • Collect performance and accuracy metrics for the Space Situational Awareness capabilities on the ATLAS system.
  • Collect comparable performance and accuracy metrics for the Space Situational Awareness capabilities from legacy systems to include CAVENet, ASW, and SPADOC.
  • Support software developers in assessing software performance and collecting feedback for performance and usability.
  • Support training teams in evaluation of trainees performing ATLAS functions.
  • Support system test events such as communications testing or new software deliveries.
  • Identify processes, procedures, and improvements to enable the operationalization of the ATLAS software.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Security Clearance Required: Top Secret with SCI eligibility
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with 2 or more years of operational experience Space Situational Awareness or Space Domain Awareness operations.
  • Proficiency in one or more of the following: Differential Corrections, Space Event Processing, SSA Data Analysis
  • Experience on the Astrodynamics Support Workstation (ASW), CAVENet, or SPADOC.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications.
  • Advanced skillset in time management and task prioritization.
  • Passion for creating innovative solutions in a narrow field of operations.
  • Ability to multitask and identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Be a self-starter with excellent time-management and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in a related field with 6 or more years of operational experience involving Astrodynamics Support Workstation (ASW), CAVENet, and SPADOC.
  • Vast experience in Space Force SSA and/or SDA operations at Vandenberg SFB, Schriever SFB, or Naval Support Facility Dahlgren. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with experience in coordinating among users, engineers, and managers.

Compensation and Benefits:
The salary range for this role is $115,000 to $150,000, depending on relevant experience, location, and other factors.
