Job Overview & Responsibilities
- The Senior Manager of this organization will be responsible for the Material Management and Demand Management value stream within the ULA Production Operations and the Launch Operations organizations.
- With a passion and vision to enable customer and mission success, this professional develops strategies and provides execution leadership delivering superior operational performance in support of Government and non-government launch programs.
- Responding to business, S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning), and master production schedule needs, this leader is responsible for the management of material and supplies within ULA including planning, scheduling, material movements, receiving, and inventory management.
- This role will interface with Manifest Planning, Integration, & Logistics organization(s) to establish and support short and long term build and launch strategies that support enterprise goals.
- Driving continuous improvement to support a highly competitive enterprise, this leader understands dynamic production and launch operations program requirements.
- The role will require building and maintaining a high-performance Material Management team throughout all locations of the ULA Enterprise.
Required Education
Bachelor
Required Years of Experience
Minimum of 10 years of related work experience
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelorβs degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience/combined education, with professional experience and training commensurate with assignment
- 10+ years of Logistics or Material Management or related operations experience
- Demonstrated strong leadership, collaboration, project management, problem-solving, change management, and influencing skills
- Demonstrated skills in developing, executing, and sustaining a best-in-class material management strategy
- Demonstrated knowledge of SAP or a similar MRP/ERP system
- Ability to establish key measures of success, and implement accountability and continuous process improvement structures
- Experience in developing, and executing within, financial forecasts
- Experience developing material kitting and delivery strategies
Preferred Qualifications
- Aerospace & Defense experience, working with US Government customers (Air Force, NRO, NASA, DCMA, DCAA, etc.)
- Material Management & Accounting System (MMAS) experience
- American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) certification/accreditation
- Experience having led and directed continuous improvement projects to include planning, defining requirements and budget, project controls, and success criteria
- Planning and S&OP background
