Software Engineer Intern

Blue Canyon Technologies is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Software Engineer Intern to join our BCT Summer in Space Internship program. Applicants must be currently enrolled at an accredited college or university. This will be a full-time position for the summer for approximately 11 weeks, starting at the end of May 2025.

Title: Software Engineer Intern

Position Type: Summer Internship

Pay Range: $27.56 or $29.29/hour (Salary rate to be determined by the education - explained in interview)

Location: Lafayette, CO

Job Responsibilities:

• Participate in the Agile development process
• Implement features with support and oversight
• Develop unit tests for mission operations software
• Assist in deployment of automated testing framework
• Document APIs and user workflows
• Learn our technology stack to become familiar with the tools and processes
• Collaborate and problem solve with a team of engineers
• Other responsibilities as assigned

 

Minimum Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a software engineering degree from a four-year university 
• Strong ability to work in teams and collaborate with peers and internal customers
• Ability to learn new processes quickly and effectively multi-task
• Effective communication skills; comfortable working in a team environment; high energy and desire to learn
• Demonstrated leadership experience through school or extracurricular project

Working Conditions:

This job operates in a professional office environment, but in a manufacturing company. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets and fax machines. BCT anticipates the application window closing approximately 40 days from the date the notice was posted.  However, factors such as candidate flow and business necessity may require BCT to shorten or extend the application window.
