The FBM Program, is seeking an energetic and results-proven leader interested in the Eastern Range Mission Operations Resident Director position located at the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station (CCSFS), FL. This position will have leadership responsibility of FBM Mission Operations directorate located at the Eastern Range. It will also have leadership responsibility as the Site Lead for the FBM program at the CCSFS and will act as the primary on site leadership interface with Naval Ordnance Test Unit (NOTU) Command. The Eastern Range Mission Operations leads over 200 employees on site. The CCSFS Site is comprised of over 700 LM FBM employees as a whole. This position will also serve as the Senior Management Official (SMO) for all classified operations under this cage code.
The Mission Operations Resident Director responsibilities include the resourcing, staffing and management of FBM Mission Operations leaders and employees on site who execute contract work across all FBM Eastern Range operational areas.
Results include financial performance of contract commitments, delivery and DD250 of products, maintenance and uptime of support and test equipment across the program. Support of flight test operations, problem investigations, documentation, and Fleet training needs. The FBM Eastern Range site leadership responsibilities include onsite leadership, safety, security, facility utilization, disaster preparations, communications, employee morale and overall well-being of each employee at the facility to the standards expected by Lockheed Martin Space. The reporting and relationship responsibilities include ongoing communication and partnerships with multiple FBM / SSP organizations including local base leadership, Washington D.C. customer branch executive leadership, FBM and LM Space executive leaders, Human Resources, Labor Relations and Labor Unions. Affecting change, adapting and evolving the team’s perspectives and culture as the program and our customer’s environment change is a key leadership responsibility for this role. The focus of this role is in management of test phase of FBM projects and Sustainment Support for the P&DSS Contract. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of subsystems of major programs. Participates in the negotiation of contract and contract changes. Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract. Develops new business or expands the product line with the customer. Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications. Directs the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas.
This position does not support teleworking; the preferred candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility one of the Coolest places to work: Cape Canaveral, FL , and be expected to work in the office.
Basic Qualifications:
To be successful, you will need to possess these basic qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education
• Senior leadership experience with 5+ years of experience managing cost, technical, and schedule of projects or programs
• Documented Leadership experience managing large organization as a leader of leaders.
• You will need to be a US Citizen (No Dual Citizenship), and be able to obtain and maintain a US DoD TOP SECRET clearance, to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

• Masters Degree
• Senior leadership experience with 10+ years of experience managing cost, technical, and schedule of projects or programs
