Omitron seeks an experienced and highly motivated Senior DevSecOps Engineer to support the U.S. Space Force (USSF) Space Systems Command in Colorado Springs. This individual will play a pivotal role in developing, integrating, and securing systems throughout the development and deployment lifecycle, ensuring the secure orchestration of network and infrastructure operations.

We seek DevSecOps Engineer professionals to work onsite on our Government contract in Colorado Springs, CO, to join our distinguished team to build and maintain DevSecOps Software Pipelines. 
In this role, you will work with a fantastic team of talented DevOps engineers leading the industry in Command and Control system solutions. As a DevSecOps engineer, you will gain experience with the entire platform lifecycle, including design, development, testing, delivery, and maintenance. In addition to working with other disciplines, our developers are exposed to various technologies, including multi-tiered architectures, Cloud Services, and micro-services. Our program follows modern Agile/DevSecOps development practices and uses an agile framework - experience in this area is a plus. We provide robust and easy-to-use environments for developers. 
 
Responsibilities:
  • Designing, engineering, installing, configuring, and removing VMware virtual environments, Red Hat solutions, and Dell and HPE hardware in operational and test lab settings.
  • Applying knowledge of enterprise system monitoring and management tools like VMware vRealize, Red Hat Ansible Automation, HPE OneView, and ACAS to analyze system activity and troubleshoot problems.
  • Using and incorporating a broad technical understanding of the diverse business areas within the enterprise in the assessment of virtualization solutions, storage configurations, VxRails deployment, and Endpoint Security Solutions systems integration.
  • Providing customers with technical guidance and direction in designing and implementing VMware and storage solutions, leveraging an advanced understanding of VxRails architecture and Dell & HPE hardware optimizations.
  • Establishing overall strategic standards and priorities for virtual infrastructure, storage, and system automation. Recommending design changes/enhancements to optimize the performance of VMware environments, VxRails systems, and storage arrays.
  • Providing high-level technical advice and guidance to managers and technical resources on how VMware, Red Hat, and other focused technologies can be utilized to meet current and future organizational needs. 
 
Minimum Requirements:
  • US Citizenship required
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) plus eight years of relevant related experience. Relevant work experience can be substituted in lieu of degree
  • Experience:  8+ years’ relevant related experience
  • Certifications: IAT Level II certification, such as Security+, obtained within 90 days of start date
  • General working knowledge of networks, storage, and virtualization
  • Leadership in implementing and accelerating Agile Release Trains
  • Background in COTS product installation, configuration, and integration
  • Broad Technical Understanding: Ability to incorporate and understand various business areas within an enterprise to effectively deploy virtualization solutions and storage configurations.
  • Storage Solutions: Expertise designing and implementing storage solutions, strongly emphasizing performance optimization.
  • Technical Guidance: Ability to provide customers and team members with technical advice and direction.
  • Strategic Planning: Skills in setting strategic standards priorities for virtual infrastructure, storage, and system automation.
  • Performance Optimization: Ability to recommend and execute design changes to optimize the performance of VMware environments, VxRails systems, and storage arrays.
  • Technical Advisory: Can offer high-level technical advice on utilizing VMware, Red Hat, and other technologies to meet organizational objectives.
 
Desired Qualifications:
  • Virtualization Expertise: Ability to design, engineer, install, configure, administer, and remove VMware virtual environments or similar.
  • Red Hat Proficiency: Familiarity with implementing and managing Red Hat solutions.
  • Hardware Management: Experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Dell and HPE hardware in various settings.
  • System Monitoring & Management: Mastery of tools like VMware vRealize, Red Hat Ansible Automation, HPE OneView, or ACAS.
  • VxRails Deployment: Skills in deploying, managing, and optimizing VxRails systems.
  • ESS Systems Integration: Proficiency in integrating ESS systems within the business environment.
  • Windows Domain Administration: Working knowledge of Active Directory and its administration. Troubleshoot domain controllers, DNS, DHCP, and federated services
  • VDI Experience: Knowledge of VDI administration, technologies, techniques, and procedures. VMware’s Horizon is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits:
The salary range for this role is $135,000 to $160,000, depending on relevant experience, location, and other factors.
