The Space Chief Data and Analytics Office (CDAO) within the Information Technology and Digital Enablement organization is seeking a talented systems administrator with OpenShift experience to support a new data and analytics platform and the transition to operations and maintenance. Qualifying candidates should possess a broad knowledge across the tech stack inclusive of computer architecture, networking protocols, virtualized compute concepts, data storage mechanisms, databases principles, data governance, and data virtualization and the delivery of data management capabilities.
General responsibilities include:
• Coordination and installation of system wide upgrades and maintenance
• Contributing to backup/recovery solution
• System monitoring/dashboards/logs/audits
• Maintaining system documentation
• Collaborating with internal technical teams and vendor support
This can be a full-time telecommuter position, but hybrid and on-site options are available.
U.S. Citizenship is required due to access to controlled unclassified information.
Basic Qualifications:
• Experience with Kubernetes container management systems
• Ability to troubleshoot solutions across the tech stack including networks, storage, compute, and application layers
• Basic understanding of relational/structured, non-relational/unstructured, and/or big data database development/design
• Experience with SQL
• U.S. Citizenship
Desired Skills:
• Experience with Red Hat OpenShift
• Experience with IBM Cloud Pak for Data (CP4D) or other data management tools or related experience
• Experience with developing in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, etc.)
• Experience with languages/tools such as Python, R, Node.js and JavaScript, with the ability to learn and transition to new programming languages as needed
• Experience with DevOps tools and concepts: Docker, Git (GitLab, GitHub), Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Deployment (CD)
• Experience with modeling and simulation on CPU, GPU, and edge architectures/devices
• Basic understanding of security principles and how to map/trace them to IT components and functions
• Strong problem-solving mindset
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and collaborative skills, and the ability to communicate and translate complex technical topics to both highly technical and non-technical partners

The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $81,000 - $152,600. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
