EchoStar has an exciting opportunity for a Pre-Sales Engineering & Solutions Architecture Manager in our Hughes Network Systems division. This opportunity will be located at our headquarters in Germantown, MD.

The ideal candidate for this role is a motivated self-starter with a passion for solving complex problems, a deep interest in exploring what is possible with networking and security technologies, and a comfort in working directly with customers. This position will leverage extensive knowledge of networking, system integration, cloud, and cybersecurity to support customer-facing engagements, as well as internal Hughes Go to Market and strategic projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of pre-sales engineers who serve as the core experts in solution introduction, evaluation, and education.
  • Collaborate with the sales team and vendor partners to understand the needs of enterprise customers, develop strategies for navigating sales cycles, and close business opportunities.
  • Build strong partnerships with sales leadership to meet quota targets and ensure the development of long-lasting customer relationships.
  • Escalate customer feedback, product challenges, and gaps to the executive team to advocate for the needs of your team and customers.
  • Analyze complex issues and provide simple, effective solutions in collaboration with prospects, channel partners, and the sales team to deliver winning outcomes.
  • Maintain close working relationships with internal teams across product development, engineering, sales, marketing, and services.
  • Actively participate in the recruitment and interview process to source and evaluate potential candidates for your team.
  • Act as both a leader and a contributor by collaborating with your team in delivering compelling presentations to customers and prospects.

Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, network infrastructure, or related technical field.
  • 8+ years of relevant work experience
  • 5+ years of experience in infrastructure architecture and networking.
  • 4+ years of experience managing technical, customer-facing enterprise resources, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with networking products such as Fortinet, Cisco, Cradlepoint, or similar and knowledge of IP networking including routing protocols and application analysis.
  • Experience in architecting and operating solutions built on cloud platforms, such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with tact and diplomacy in communication are vital.
  • Ability to effectively communicate to express complex ideas and concepts in a clear, concise manner.
  • Time management abilities with an aptitude for supporting multiple projects simultaneously to deliver in a results-oriented environment.

Will be eligible for discretionary bonus, with funding based on company performance.

Compensation Range

Annual Salary: $109,000.00 - $145,000.00
