SUMMARY

Come join our team at the facility where we are building and testing rockets as Facilities HVAC Technician I. As the Facilities HVAC Technician I will perform preventative & and reactive service equipment maintenance on HVAC equipment (package units, spilt systems, etc.) This role will assist other facilities’ trades with projects and repairs if necessary. This role is located at our rocket production facility in Briggs, TX, North of Cedar Park.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Some plumbing, intermediate HVAC, and general maintenance knowledge.
  • Collaborate with the internal facilities department and contractors for support.
  • Assist in various departments and perform necessary repairs.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • 3-5 years of installation and service experience in the HVAC trade.
  • EPA universal certification is required.
  • Ability to read electrical diagrams and troubleshoot HVAC systems and controls.
  • Change out of motors and compressor and system repair.
  • Maintain a safe work environment by documenting and correcting potential safety issues concerning assembly and material-handling equipment or the facility.
  • Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands; climb and carry ladders and work with hand and power tools.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a professional manner with co-workers, vendors, and people with various professional backgrounds.
  • At times, be able to work independently.
  • Must be able to sit, stand, and do repetitive actions with your hands for long periods.
  • Willing to work overtime and weekends if need be.
  • Be on time and ready to work and learn and grow with a rocket company going to the moon!

Desired

  • Plumbing experience is a plus.
  • Strong communicator, with a customer-obsessed mindset.
  • Ability to learn to operate and handle machinery (forklift, scissor lift, bulldozer, skid steer etc.), equipment, and tools necessary for maintenance and repair.
