Job description
As a Production Coordinator at Impulse, you are responsible for serving as a liaison between all ancillary input and output organizations to ensure that components and assemblies flow smoothly through the production areas to meet stringent deadlines and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Create and fulfill inventory requests based on demand and production schedule
- Interface with supply chain, engineers, and technicians on the release of work orders
- Support production and inventory personnel with “return to stock”, replacement parts, and inventory purge actions
- Reconciliation of work order bill of material quantities
- Monitor, track, and move parts as required through the company to ensure timely delivery to next production location
- Push/pull physical movement of parts through receiving inspection, stock areas, purchasing, production resources or any applicable work center
- Communicate part status and estimated completion dates to leadership upon request
- Support management of material certifications as required to prevent the use of uncertified materials
- Verify all material received for conformity with accompanying paperwork, checking for damage, correct part numbers, quantity, and revisions prior to release of work orders to production
- Create and improve systems used to keep components organized
- Coordinate off-site processing of parts to ensure on-time delivery
- Work with the planning, procurement, engineering, and production teams to ensure our MRP/ERP data is and remains clean and accurate
- Ensure parts are handled and protected properly and within specifications
- Assist with resolution of incorrect system data which is driving inappropriate demand, schedules, or could result in general failure
- Support team members to meet rate and quality targets at each workstation, and promote continuous flow by communicating blockers and reporting downtime to supervisors and specialists
- Develop and maintain reports to highlight needs, deliverables, and constraints as required
- Assist production leadership and project teams with action item updates
- Support projects or productivity development activities within the manufacturing team
- Update and utilize metrics to drive results as applicable with production personnel
- Organize and maintain the physical and electronic library for production related tooling and calibration database
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate
- 3+ years of supply chain, inventory or manufacturing experience
Preferred Skills and Experience
- 5+ years of experience in space, electronics, automotive, or other high-volume manufacturing
- Excellent computer skills (Email, Microsoft Windows, ERP/MRP/MES systems, iOS, Executing Custom Developed Software)
- Proficiency of MRP/ERP systems
- Experience in aerospace, automotive, electronic manufacturing environment
- Experience with SQL, python or programming
- Bachelor’s degree

Compensation bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, technical capabilities and internal equity. In addition to base salary, for full-time hires, you may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of stock options, and access to medical, vision & dental coverage as well as access to a 401(k) retirement plan.
