Are you a qualified technician in an engineering trade that is not aero, but have a passion to work with military aircraft? If so, then Boeing UK is offering an exciting and challenging opportunity to join our bespoke ‘Boeing Aircraft Maintenance Technician Pathway Route to Aero Programme’. This 15 month Programme due to commence early January 2025 is aimed at developing highly motivated individuals into professional Aircraft Maintainers and assist in the delivery of a world-class engineering maintenance operation across our various sites within the UK.

Boeing in the UK provides aircraft maintenance services to various customers in both the commercial and defence sectors. During this programme successful candidates will learn about and get practical hands on experience of maintaining aircraft on our rotary platforms which includes the Chinook and the Apache. This programme will be located in RAF Odiham and/or AAC Middle Wallop, so a willingness to travel, live and work in different locations is essential.
The chosen candidates will study towards their Level 2 Certificate in Aircraft Maintenance and Level 2 Aviation Maintenance Mechanic Competence Qualification and other specialist training. During the Programme, candidates will be trained in all disciplines (airframe, propulsion and avionics) of rotary aircraft maintenance.
Tasks you will carry out:
Perform routine scheduled aircraft maintenance.
Perform unscheduled defect rectification.
Perform aircraft modifications.
Use and follow approved maintenance documentation.
Adhere to Health & Safety policies and procedures.
Work to given time scales.
Work alongside skilled engineers to provide you with the knowledge needed to become fully trained.
You will also be expected to respond quickly to changing demands throughout your working day.

Entry Level Requirements
Minimum of x5 GCSEs grade A*-C/9-4 (or equivalent) one of which is to be in Science (preferably Physics).
GCSE Mathematics at a minimum of C/5 grade.
GCSE English at a minimum of C/5 grade.
National SCQF Level 5 – Scotland.
