Come join our team as our next Orion Stress Analyst!

In this role you will lead stress analysis activities, including requirements verifications, collaborate with IPT stakeholders, mentor Stress Analysts, and coordinate with our NASA customer.

Your duties will include: coordinating the work of a Stress Analysis team to meet program requirements and deadlines, collaborating with vendors and customers, and orchestrating the work of Lockheed Martin engineers.

Other duties may include:
• Mentoring and training IC1 to IC5 Stress Analysts
• Performing technical reviews of vendor and internal Stress Analysis Reports
• Generating performance metrics and status reports for Program Management
• Coordinating with Systems Engineering on verification tasks
• Coordinating with Loads & Dynamics on component and structures environments
• Supporting manufacturing & test anomaly/discrepancy investigations
Basic Qualifications:
• Expertise in stress analysis, statics and dynamics
• Experience leading a Stress Analysis team for a human rated NASA program
• Knowledge of human rated structural verification requirements
• Proven experience delivering structural analysis reports to certify a human rated spacecraft
• Experience representing the company to senior leadership with outside vendors or customers
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments and customers, simultaneously and independently
Desired Skills:
• Experience developing advanced technological ideas and guiding their development into a final product
• Experience serving as organization spokesperson on advanced projects and/or programs
• Hardware experience, including design, analysis, assembly, Integration and Test
• Experience with crew, thermal, and environmental systems
• Experience with NASA’s Fracture Control system
• Knowledgeable of, and possesses experience with, NASA’s Artemis Program components and organizational structure
• Experience using EPDM Windchill
• Experience developing Proposal documents and Basis of Estimates (BOE’s)
• Excellent verbal/written communication, presentation and interpersonal skills with technical and non-technical audiences.

Ability to Work Remotely: Full-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work remotely full time at a location other than a Lockheed Martin designated office/job site. Employees may travel to a Lockheed Martin office for periodic meetings.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: Part-Time as assigned by leader
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $161,500 - $304,300. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Washington or Washington DC is $140,400 - $269,100 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
