In direct support of SBIRS Operations Directorate, Vehicle Operations and Engineering (VO&E)/Flight Operation Support (FOS), will provide technical support and system engineering expertise to operational assets deployed to various support facilities.
Provide Factory Flight Operations Support for the operations of all work centers associated with the processing of the SBIRS mission.
Provide a Factory Operations Support Engineering interface for coordination of real-time changes to the configuration of SBIRS ground station or flight hardware, software or databases.
Provide the Factory Operations Support interface for the satellite commanding and control portion of daily operations.
Support the analysis of ICDs, System Specifications and operations procedures for state of health and mission data monitoring of both strategic and theater operations.
Support the facilitation of communications between the operations and engineering groups on system status and operational issues.
Assist in the preparation and implementation of FOS operations product development and test and verification implementation plans.
Provide inputs to the collection and reporting of applicable metrics for status briefings of the FOS operations product development for the VO&E/Flight Operations Support Manager.
Requires satellite and mission operations, integration, and/or systems engineering experience. Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills are required. Previous experience with Launch Readiness/Rehearsal planning and execution with background in classified satellite programs preferred.
Occasional travel and occasional shift work is required. Current and active TS/SSBI required.

Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Washington or Washington DC is $67,400 - $129,300 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
