Test Engineer Intern

Position Overview (Summary/Objective):

ARKA Group is seeking test engineers who are passionate about working closely with our team to solve difficult mission-critical challenges. In this important role, you will be working on TestExec®—our Automated Testing Framework.

This position will be located in Colorado Springs, CO.

Responsibilities:

• Design tests for communication systems both individually and within a group environment.
• Work with test and measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, etc.
• Conduct automated and manual testing of applications controlling integrated hardware and peripheral equipment while supporting/enhancing existing software products as necessary.
• Automate test procedures using python scripting
• Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to implement tests and validate test results.

• Support Test Planning by mapping requirements to Test Procedures for Factory Acceptance Tests.
• Use your engineering skills to analyze, design, and implement automated scripts within complex systems.

Basic Qualifications:

• University Sophomore, Junior or Senior working towards a Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar technical field
• 0-1+ years of experience Python development
• 0-1+ years of experience C++ development
• Experience with the Linux Operating System
• Experience with version control tools, such as GitLab.
• May need to obtain and maintain a security clearance for this position

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with the use of lab equipment, such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, power supplies, and digital multi-meters is a plus.
• Experience with python numpy and matplotlib libraries for data analysis.

Pay Range: $23.00 - $29.00 per hour.

This job operates in a professional office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee routinely is required to use hands to keyboard, communicate, listen to, and interpret instructions and remain stationary for extended periods of the time. This would require the ability to move around the campus and occasionally move/lift items weighing up to XX lbs. (site specific:  Danbury = 25; Bothell = 40; other sites per job requirements - should be no more than 40).
