ENGINEERING

GROUND SYSTEMS ENGINEER – ELECTRICAL

As an Electrical Engineer on our Ground Systems Engineering team, you will take charge of designing, building, testing, and commissioning launch pad systems and their associated infrastructure. Your responsibilities will span from power system supply and distribution to instrumentation and control systems design and launch vehicle communications. You will oversee projects through their entire lifecycle, from conceptualization and detailed design to construction and operation. Beyond engineering design, you will manage the schedule, budget, reporting, and final documentation for each project, ensuring your designs come to full fruition.

YOU’LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS

  • A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
  • 2+ years industrial engineering experience.
  • Experience with design, commissioning, operation and maintenance of LV and DC power supply and distribution systems, including generators and UPS systems.
  • Experience with design, commissioning, operation and maintenance of instrumentation and control systems.
  • Ability to read, understand and produce electrical, instrumentation and control schematics.
  • Ability to interpret and apply national and/or international codes and standards. AS/NZS is essential. 
  • Ability to work in fast paced, autonomously driven environment.
  • Ability to support complex engineering projects.
  • Proven communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships

THESE QUALIFICATIONS WILL BE NICE TO HAVE

  • Experience with launch pad systems or Oil and Gas, process, mining, or similar industries.
  • Ability to get hands on with electrical equipment, data acquisition, control and automation systems.
  • Ability to lead complex engineering projects.
