We’re on the hunt for a Material Assistant on our Satellite systems team at our Montreal office.

 

Role: 

Provides support to the maintenance/calibration group in the preparation and administration of equipment leased or in transit with service providers.

Performs administrative duties associated with the operation of the department.

 

Responsibilities/Work performed:

  • Collect and enter data into various systems.
  • Produce and publish various reports.
  • Update departmental KPI's.
  • Unpack incoming instruments and add to database. Disposition of accessories.
  • Administrative support for equipment to be sent for service (calibration, repair). Preparation of requisitions, PO
  • Administrative support for instruments returning from service (calibration, maintenance). Preparation of requisitions, PO
  • Track, trace and validate equipment on production floors.
  • Distribute personalized reminders.
  • Prepare shipping documents.
  • Coordinate equipment moves.
  • Actively participate in maintaining 5S in the department.
  • Act as a messenger within the building and occasionally outside the company.
  • All other related tasks.

 

Minimum qualifications required:

  • High school diploma, secondary school vocational diploma or college diploma;
  • 1 to 3 years of related experience. Good experience in customer service.
  • Good knowledge of the Office suite;
  • Essential knowledge of French and English, both written and spoken.

Comments/Special Considerations:

Successful candidates must obtain and hold security clearance at the reliability status level, and pass security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and ITAR.
