Job description

a.i. solutions is currently seeking a Gateway Navigation Engineer to join our team and support NASA Johnson Space Center (JSC) on the JSC Engineering, Technology and Science II (JETS II) contract. The engineer will join a highly motivated team of individuals designing, developing and maintaining simulation software to accurately model vehicle performance and navigation accuracy in cislunar space. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to embrace the a.i. solutions mission and work to continually exceed the expectations of our customers.

Essential Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Develop high-fidelity spacecraft navigation simulations in FreeFlyer to evaluate Gateway navigation performance on diverse cislunar mission scenarios
  • Conduct Monte Carlo simulations to assess the impacts of initial conditions, spacecraft perturbations and the spacecraft environment on navigation accuracy
  • Work closely with other engineering teams, including guidance, navigation and control, propulsion, and avionics to ensure accuracy in modeled spacecraft performance
  • Present analysis to engineering teams, management and other stakeholders, providing insight and recommendations for mission scenarios
  • Perform other duties as required

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Aerospace or Aeronautical Engineering 
  • 10 years of experience performing Spacecraft Analysis and Mission Design
  • U.S. Citizenship

 

$140-165K based on experience
