Position Description: The VP of Business Execution is responsible for developing, implementing and overseeing the strategic program and project excellence across the entire Portfolio, ensuring the successful on time and on budget delivery of all work for our customers. The role is also responsible for all daily Operations and driving overall profitability of the Operations including but not limited to Production.  Provide leadership, management and vision necessary to effectively grow the company and to ensure financial strength and operating efficiency. The position reports directly to the President of Voyager Technology Systems.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Lead the development of the Company’s Program Management Methodology, focusing on standardizing and improving Program management deliverables, processes, tools, and training.
  • Build and develop a team of PMO Experts (including leaders), to deliver improved processes and tools and to enhance execution.
  • Collaborate with other Leaders to align on priority of initiatives to ensure tangible benefits of PM are achieved and recognized.
  • Develop, improve, and operationalize critical tools and training of such tools to enable effective use by PMs.
  • Support the development of executable deals in Reviews of new project opportunities through collaboration with other company functions on risk management.
  • Champion project close-out meetings to identify opportunities for best practice and lessons learned sharing.
  • Create, nurture, and provide leadership for a Program Managers from across the company to promote Program Management capabilities and careers.
  • Support Program reviews, risk reviews, and close-out meetings to drive continuous improvement.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and solicit direct feedback from key stakeholders to ensure progress towards the company’s strategic plans.
  • Serve as a critical member of the Company’s Executive Leadership Team to influence strategic priorities and initiatives.
  • Implementing business management strategies, plans, and procedures, setting comprehensive goals for performance and growth while establishing policies that promote company culture and vision.
  • Evaluate performance by analyzing and interpreting data, metrics and key performance indicators.
  • Provide day-to-day leadership and management to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel designed to accommodate the company's vision, mission and objectives.
  • Develop annually an operating plan in keeping with the company's goals and in consultation with the rest of the organization.
  • Ensure optimal utilization of manpower and resources available to achieve maximum output. Introduce improvements in relation to productivity, quality or material utilization rate.
  • Ensure compliance of policies and operating procedures.
  • Ensure effective use of MRP system.
  • Proven track record of driving best practices, improving productivity and profitability throughout operations with leading-edge management practices, innovative use of technology, cost reduction strategies and high-quality investment decisions. 

 

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university is required 
  • Prior experience with Development and Production programs, with sub systems for Space applications.
  • Prior experience working with major Primes and managing complex Satellite Communications (RF, Optical and Laser) programs a must.
  • A track record of success in managing, mentoring, coaching and directing program managers; experience in developing staff and promoting growth within the organization thru various avenues of cross-training and other training.
  • Computer software experience in MS Office, Costpoint, NetSuite, etc.

 

Preferences:

  • Current or prior experience in Executive Program Management preferred.
  • MBA or equivalent academic training and certification is preferred. 
  • PMP Certification required.

 

 

Salary Range: $230,000 - 250,000/year
