o Primarily responsible for the evaluation of supplier proposals.
o Develop supplier capture strategy for pursuit of long-range objectives and strategic plans to ensure effective material integration on program campaign pursuits, and establish new or renewed contracts.
o Performs and documents price/cost analysis on a variety of proposals for development, production, and sustainment of major systems.
o Analyzes supplier's projected estimated costs for reasonableness, reviewing in detail the significant direct cost elements of material, labor, and special tooling.
o Evaluations of supplier proposals are provided to the government customer and used in prime proposal pricing.
o Develops negotiation strategies and concludes both supplier and prime negotiations to achieve company profit objectives and customer affordability goals.
o Represents organization as a Sub-contacts analysis supporting prime negotiations on contracts or projects.
o Interacts with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between organizations.
o Exerts influence on the overall proposal settlements which support Supply Chain objectives and long-range goals of the organization.
o Prevents erroneous decisions or failure to achieve objectives, which would normally have a serious effect upon the administration of the organization.
o Plan and participate in training of Price/Cost Analysis practices.
o This candidate will ensure sound subcontractor proposals, evaluate direct/indirect costs, and recommend acceptable labor and indirect rates.
o The audit covers financial statement reviews, accurate current cost statements, reasonable projections, and compliance with FAR 31.2, Cost Accounting Standards, GAAP, and DCAA Guidelines.
o The candidate will also assess accounting and estimating system reasonableness and test related data for direct and indirect expenses, allocability and allowability.
Although this position does support some teleworking; the preferred candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in Denver, Colorado , and be expected to work in the office as needed and as appropriate.
Basic Qualifications:
To be successful, you will need to possess these basic qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college.
• 4+ years of professional experience in supply chain management, pricing, costing, procurement, and/or contracts.
• The candidate needs to have 3+ years of experience in financial and cost accounting.
• Prior professional experience with data analysis.
• You will need to be a US Citizen, and be able to obtain and maintain a US DoD SECRET clearance, to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Desired Skills:
To be successful, ideally, you should also have:
• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 6 years of professional experience; or 4 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.
• Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills

• Ability to analyze a problem and recommend solutions
• Ability to perform and apply cost accounting, pricing, and estimating concepts and principles.

Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Washington or Washington DC is $74,700 - $143,100 .
