Your Skills
The Business Development Director is responsible for leading the day-to-day identification, maturation, and closure of Redwire Space Europe space robotics opportunities. This role requires daily interaction with the Managing Director, the engineering team, and the program management organization. The Business Development Director will be responsible for developing and maintaining new customer relationships with an eye on existing wider Redwire connection to identify opportunities for deeper strategic teaming. The ideal candidate will have a technical background to ensure understanding of, and compliance with, customer requirements. Such a candidate will also be a passionate storyteller with strong empathic skills, ensuring that any proposed solutions will be directly relevant to a real customer need. The Business Development Director will leverage connections across the industry to help foster new business opportunities for Redwire Space Europe. Success in this position is essential for our business because it represents the direct connection between the customer and the products that we are building. Primarily this position aims to boost Redwire Space Europe sales in regions mostly in Europe. However, candidates with experience and ability to help promote sales of Redwire US products outside of the USA will be favourably received.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Generate new, high-volume customers for space-optimised robotic arms and electro-mechanical products

Identify and obtain all internal and external materials needed to close a customer sale

Build on existing European and Asian Redwire customer relationships to increase sales of US products.

Manage relationships, lead negotiations, and generate sales with several key customers

Oversee CRM database

Manage Sales Engineers to deliver to customer necessary sales documents

Coordinate unique sales strategy with the General Manager and Made In Space Europe executives

Generate a master schedule for customer sales and regularly report this to the General Manager and the engineering team
QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, MBA or any other related degree

Held a sales role in the aerospace industry for at least 5 years
-
Demonstrated experience working with large international aerospace primes, government agencies, and other aerospace entities.

Demonstrated experience in closing multi-million sales projects in the space industry within the last 5 years

Fluency in English

Excellent written, spoken, and interpersonal skills
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Currently in a sales position
- Experience in US and/or Asian space sectors.
- Fluency in German and/or French languages
- Bachelor’s degree or greater in engineering discipline

Business degree (master or postgraduate)

Member of one or more of the following: AIAA, ISU-Alumni, Space Frontier Foundation, SEDS-Alumni, SGC, Secure World Foundation

Experience writing proposals and participating in contracts with government agencies and private companies

Extensive experience closing deals in the global aerospace market
