We’re on the hunt for a motivated and talented Digital Electronics Test Station Design. This is a 4 months mandate (with a possibility of 8 months) starting in January 2025.

Overall, the successful candidate would be treated similar to a new graduate joining our company, where tasks will be assigned relative to the level of schooling and experience achieved to date.

The successful candidate will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary engineering team to develop state-of-the-art spacecraft electronic equipment, DC power supplies and associated regulator circuitry using PCB technology. Contribute into the designs while supporting documentation such as some analysis, parts lists, schematics, assembly drawings and test procedures.

Role :

The Digital Electronics Test Station Design Intern will be responsible for design, integration and commissioning of specialized electronic test equipment for testing mixed signal (Digital & RF) electronic products used in satellites and other space-based systems The chosen candidate will work closely with PCB designers, Digital (FPGA), Software and RF Engineers as part of a product integration team responsible for developing complex test systems and validating flight equipment. A dynamic work environment will allow for exposure to many facets of electronic product development and allow the candidate to grow in a well-rounded manner.

 

Responsibilities :

  • Co-ordinate with the product design team with the help of a senior Test Specialist to develop test architectures and methods for verifying the performance of flight equipment.
  • Aid in the design of specialized PCB assemblies, for custom test equipment
  • Work with the product design team and test technicians to review data and debug test equipment and flight hardware
  • Produce technical drawings, reports and other documentation

 

Qualifications :

  • Minimum of 5 session completed of an Engineering degree and interest in the field of electronics testing and integration
  • Understanding of electronic circuits and communication protocols
  • PCB design experience
  • Experience with laboratory instrumentation such as:
    • Oscilloscope
    • Network analyzer (asset)
    • Spectrum analyzer (asset)
    • Arbitrary waveform generator (asset)
  • Fluent in written and spoken French and English is an asset.
  • The ideal candidate would be a multidisciplinary, pro-active, enthusiastic, and result-oriented team player
