ispace EUROPE, based in Luxembourg, is seeking a talented and dynamic Legal Intern for a 6-month internship to join its team.
The vision of ispace is to expand and sustain humanity’s presence in space by developing a lunar economy built on the resources available on the Moon.
ispace EUROPE is the regional office of ispace inc., a Japanese space company. We are creating the first lunar resource exploration service by developing ispace’s next generation rover that will prospect for lunar water and other resources. We are a small team, motivated by the challenges of the Lunar Frontier, and determined to achieve the company’s vision.
As Legal Intern, you will assist our EU Legal Associate with a variety of tasks, including conduct comprehensive legal research, drafting legal documents, provide administrative and organizational support, drafting internal regulations, etc.
This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience with our legal department. Based in Luxembourg, you will report to our EU Legal Associate.
KEY RESPONSABILITIES
- Conduct comprehensive legal research across various jurisdictions and regulatory frameworks.
- Assist in drafting legal documents (e.g. supplier contracts, MoUs, NDAs, purchase agreements).
- Review and proofread legal documentation with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Assist in drafting internal regulations.
- Draft internal memorandums on space-related regulatory matters.
- Provide administrative and organizational support to the legal department.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Pursuing a Master's degree or LLM in Law.
- Fluent in English with excellent communication and writing skills.
- Proactive and able to pick up new tasks quickly with a problem-solving mindset.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Motivated, eager to learn, and interested in experiencing an international and challenging environment.
ADDITIONAL QUALITIES
- Export control knowledge is an advantage.
- Understanding of the Japanese and American legal systems is an advantage.
