REQUIREMENT

ARCTOS is currently seeking a Pad Safety Supervisor at Cape Canaveral.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will perform conduct operational reviews of launch contractor procedures, identify and analyze applicable safety standards and precautions, train and mentor other safety professionals, prepare safety documentation as directed to facilitate the operational implementation of System Safety programs of launch systems and weapon programs at launch ranges, such as Operational Safety Plans, Explosive Safety Plans, Safety Operations Plans, Safety Checklists, Incident Reports, Trip Reports and Incident Reports.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

• 5 years safety related experience within the safety or launch business.
• Knowledgeable and experienced in missiles, explosives or armament/weapons and first-hand knowledge of the safe handling of explosives or propellants.
• 5 or more years of experience in the missile and/or nuclear safety. 

EDUCATIONAL, CLEARANCE AND CERTIFICATION

• High school diploma required.
• Bachelor’s degree, Certified Safety Professional or, Professional Safety Manager credential highly desirable
• US Citizenship required

TRAVEL

• Travel is not anticipated, but if performed will be under the guidelines of Federal Travel Regulations and/or Joint Travel Regulations.
