Job description

As an Integration Engineering Intern, your primary responsibility will be to assist in the assembly of our Mira space vehicle.  You will work across all of the engineering teams in the company to efficiently build and test a reliable and high performance spacecraft.   
 
NOTE: This internship is on-site required and is for Summer 2025, approximate dates of the internship can range from May - August. 

Responsibilities

  • Support the assembly and integrated testing of our Mira space vehicle 
  • Work side-by-side with talented engineers and technicians on the shop floor  
  • Write and maintain work instructions, test plans, and other critical documentation  
  • Work on methods for accelerating the rate that we can build and process vehicles  
  • Work on tooling and fixturing that supports assembly and transport  
  • Resolve technical issues with innovative and resourceful solutions 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Completion or working towards a degree in engineering or science 
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with hardware  
  • Ability to take project ownership and work well in a small team

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Passionate about the space industry
  • Hands-on experience with product or process improvements 
  • Demonstrated experience with CAD software and ability to learn new tools 
  • Hands-on experience with basic fabrication tools and processes (electric/pneumatic power tools, tube bending, machining, welding, etc.) 
  • Demonstrated experience working on a rocket club, FSAE/SAE or other related hardware team
  • Minimum completion of 3rd year of undergrad 
Additional Information:

Compensation bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, technical capabilities and internal equity. In addition to base salary, for full-time hires, you may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of stock options, and access to medical, vision & dental coverage as well as access to a 401(k) retirement plan.
