Thermal Engineering Intern - Summer 2025

As a Thermal Engineering Intern at Lunar Outpost, you will gain experience and training in Aerospace Thermal Analysis, familiarity with practical space/lunar environment heat transfer principles, aerospace thermal hardware, and thermal testing. In addition, interns will use the NASA standard thermal analysis tool, Thermal Desktop, to perform real world thermal modeling and analysis tasks in support of Lunar Outpost's several flight projects focused on the expanding cis-lunar economy. All interns will work directly alongside full-time engineers on real, engaging, and impactful projects, providing tangible value to Lunar Outpost products. This internship is a truly end-to-end experience that promotes collaboration in every stage of autonomous robotic development! 

 

 

Qualifications:

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master's degree in STEM or a related field
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to work methodically in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Can effectively demonstrate communication and interpersonal skills, while also excelling in collaboration and teamwork in an interdisciplinary environment
• Exhibits strong organizational and time management skills under pressure and in stressful situations
• Fueled by a passion for space exploration and the boundless possibilities beyond our world
  

Mid-May (May 19) to early August (August 8). Start and end dates are flexible with intern's school schedule. In-person, Monday - Friday in Arvada, Colorado.
