Job Overview & Responsibilities
As the worldβs premiere launch provider, United Launch Alliance is looking for a Government Affairs Regulatory Specialist, with experience in regulatory affairs, to join our small, passionate team of accomplished experts. Responsibilities include:
- Provide assistance and coordination to the Vice President of Government Operations & Strategic Communications on issues regarding the impact of government's regulatory activities.
- Support ULA executive leadership engagements at major conferences and on FACAβs.
- Assemble briefings and read-ahead material for ULA and member company leadership on agency actions, regulatory decisions, and budget requests.
- Analyze pending and/or proposed legislation/regulations (including amendments), routing information to subject matter experts for input and identifying the potential impact to the company to advise key decision-makers.
- Share in ULA's support for safe and innovative space launch solutions.
- Support ULA's strategic goals as they relate to civil and commercial space launch.
Required Education
Bachelor
Required Years of Experience
Minimum of 2 years of related work experience
Basic Qualifications
- Experience with a relevant Congressional office or Committee, Trade Association and/or experience with the Executive Branch in a regulatory capacity.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding of ULA's product evolution.
- Familiarity of launch procurement process and launch regulatory environment.
- Working knowledge of regulatory process as it relates to space and launch.
- Working knowledge of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) and the Federal Register.
