About The Position  

We are seeking a highly experienced Radio Frequency (RF) Ground Systems Lead to spearhead the technical development, integration, and management of our RF ground systems. This role requires a deep understanding of satellite communications, ground station technologies, and RF systems. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading complex RF projects, managing ground station operations, and driving innovations in space communication systems. 

Responsibilities:  

• Provide expert guidance on the design, implementation, and optimization of RF ground systems within the Lunar Data Network. Ensure the technical integrity and performance of ground stations, base-band units, and related RF components.
• Oversee the integration of RF ground systems with other components of the LDN, including Nova Control and lunar data relay satellites. Ensure seamless interoperability and system performance.
• Lead the execution of RF-related projects from conception through deployment and operational support. Manage timelines, budgets, and technical deliverables to ensure project success.
• Representing Ground equities in system engineering processes including requirements management, configuration management, and risk management
• Prioritize tasks across the team based on mission criticality and available resources

Qualifications:   

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in RF systems engineering and ground station operations, with a strong focus on satellite communications and space technology.
• Proven experience in leading complex RF projects.
• Deep knowledge of RF ground systems, including design, integration, and optimization. Experience with satellite communications, ground station technologies, and data relay systems is highly desirable.

• Superb technical skills and experience related to space ground systems hardware and software. Focus on Command and Telemetry and Space Relay solutions
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage technical teams, drive project success, and foster a culture of innovation. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
