What is the role? 

  • Conducting visual and dimensional inspections and quality checks on mechanical parts, assemblies and/or spacecraft both in receiving and in-house operations 
  • Updating material statuses in the ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) in accordance with the inspections performed
  • Recording the measurement data, establishing the required quality records
  • Reporting the non-conformances, supporting the root causes analysis efforts and implementing the corrective/preventive actions in production, assembly and throughout the supply chain
  • Drafting timely and accurate reports on the outstanding issues related to the inspected parts, subsystems and assemblies
  • Preparing and reviewing inspection sheets and procedures
  • Reviewing hardware configurations and reporting on discrepancies
  • Maintaining the scrap management process aligned with the internal procedures
  • Monitoring the production, storage and lab environments to ensure safety and quality assurance standards are met 
  • Contributing to process improvement efforts within the company

Requirements

What will you need to be successful in this role?

  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar/related position.
  • Relevant qualifications, e.g. college degree/diploma in electronics, electrical, quality assurance, or manufacturing.
  • Experience with mechanical and assembly inspections
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong analytical mindset.
  • Good written and spoken English communication skills.
  • Strong commitment to quality-oriented manufacturing.

In addition to the above, it would be beneficial if you had the below attributes and skills: 

  • Experience in aerospace and/or defence industry is a great plus
  • Knowledge of manufacturing and/or assembly processes is a plus
  • Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) and/or Geometrical Product Specifications (GPS) knowledge is a plus
  • ECSS standards knowledge is a plus

Base salary range

  • 3000 to 3500EUR per month (gross) contingent on your experience level, and will be negotiated individually
