What is the role?

As a GIS Developer, you will be a member of the Application Engineering domain within the Solutions line of business at ICEYE. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and maintain our Esri-based web applications and their integrations that support the delivery of our Natural Catastrophe products to clients. In addition, you recommend and design new solutions for our growing ArcGIS customer base. This role involves close collaboration with diverse teams, including software engineers, GIS analysts, product managers, and client representatives. Additionally, you will take the lead in managing the ArcGIS Online organization within our business line. We are seeking a team member who can work with us either in Finland or from any of our EU offices.

Key responsibilities:

  • Maintain and improve our existing ArcGIS Online applications
  • Creating robust data publishing pipelines with proper tests, monitoring and alerts
  • Reduce the time needed to operationalize a new product delivery via ArcGIS
  • Design and create new dashboards and apps to serve various new customer needs
  • Collaborate effectively in agile cross-functional product teams with shared ownership

Requirements

What you need to succeed:

  • Proficient understanding and extensive experience on the Esri ArcGIS ecosystem including ArcGIS Online and the ArcGIS APIs and SDKs
  • Experience in processing and delivering both vector and raster based products
  • Solid skills in Python and experience in automating ArcGIS Online operations programmatically
  • A DevOps mindset and an understanding of modern software development practices including continuous delivery, test driven development and  and Infrastructure-as-code
  • Understanding of different OGC compliant software and standards (STAC, OGC APIs, WMS/WMTS)
  • Effective communication skills with product managers, team members, and business stakeholders
  • Experience working with GitHub, PostGIS and databases, including DB migrations as code
  • Developing integrations in API and event-driven architectures

In addition to the above, it would be beneficial if you had the below attributes and skills:

  • Experience working with Docker & Terraform
  • Equal experience with open source software counterparts like QGIS
  • Knowledge of setting up a ArcGIS Enterprise instance

  • Base salary range for this position in Finland is 6700-8000 EUR per month (gross) contingent on your experience level, and will be negotiated individually
