Northrop Grumman, Space Systems, is currently seeking a temporary Staff Controls Engineer to support our Process Engineering team at the Clearfield Utah facility. 

This position is a casual/on-call position (temporary).

Responsibilities Include:

• Troubleshoot, repair, and optimize CNC machining equipment in a production environment.

• Develop documentation for future reference.

• Support operations, controls, and facilities groups

• Work with Maintenance, Operations, and other Engineers to troubleshoot equipment issues.

• Work as a team with the Electrical Design / Controls Engineers on upgrades / new controls systems.

• Support various control systems on plant involving re-programming, adding software enhancements, etc. in support of Operations.

• Follow company software development lifecycle

• Contribute to programming standards and best practice

Position Requirements:

• 14+ year’s experience working with large milling machines.

• Familiarity with Fanuc 0i, 31i, CNC controls

• Proficient with PMC ladder troubleshooting and programming

• Fanuc HMI customization

• Working knowledge of hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic systems used on CNC equipment

• Macro-B programming

Education Requirements

• BS with 14 years of experience or MS with 12 years of experience

• Experience may be considered in lieu of degree requiring 18 years of experience with High School or 16 years of experience with Associates degree

Salary Range: $142,500.00 - $213,700.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
