Maxar Intelligence is seeking a dynamic FP&A leader to drive positive business outcomes. This is a critical finance leadership position and reports to the VP, FP&A.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the finance business partners that support the internal facing functions such as SG&A, Operations, Technology, and Product.

  • Lead and develop a team of 4 – 6 financial analysts.

  • Be agile and an advocate for change across the function, as well as help to drive a strong, positive culture.

  • Act as a working manager, providing analysis and feedback on financial performance and key metrics including root cause variance explanations to highlight opportunities and risks monthly around budget and forecast versus actuals.

  • Support and influence key operational and strategic decisions with executive business leaders.

  • Drive an efficient, effective, and comprehensive process for all finance processes used within the team.

  • Provide decision support to include financial modeling, strategic analysis and valuation support for new product development, long-term contracts, sales commission planning and other ad-hoc financial projects.

  • Assist in preparing analysis, commentary, and presentation material for Board of Directors.

  • Exhibit flexibility and willingness to take on new responsibilities and assignments as they are identified and assist with various ad hoc projects as needed.

  • Develop and maintain complex financial models.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or other business-related fields.

  • 8+ years of direct financial planning and analysis.

  • 5+ years of leadership or managerial experience.

  • Experience effectively communicating information at all levels of the company to both financial and non-financial personnel.

  • Large ERP experience: SAP preferred.

  • Strong excel skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or Masters in Finance

  • System proficiency preferences: SAP, Adaptive Planning, AWS Cost

We use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range. To accommodate all locations, we have listed the bottom to the top of the possible range, and will share the target range for a specific location during the recruiting discussion. Individual pay will be competitive based on a candidates unique set of knowledge, skills, and geographic diversity, with earnings potential commensurate with experience. The range for this position is:

    $116,000.00 - $247,000.00 annually.

    Additionally, this position is incentive eligible with a target based on contribution, company performance, and/or individual results achieved; the specific incentive plan and target amount will be determined based on the role and breadth of contributions.
