ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE ACCOUNTANT

Based at Rocket Lab's US in Long Beach, California the Accounts Receivable Accountant is responsible for Accounts Receivables, Billing, and Collections. You will support the New Business Controller which includes but not limited to supporting the Accounting/Finance Dept.

WHAT YOU’LL GET TO DO:

New Customer Setup in LN.
Create and send out invoices.
Follow-up with customers for billing, collections, and late payments.
Respond to customer inquiries and complaints.
Perform account reconciliations and monitor the account details of customers which includes delayed or missed payments.
Research and resolve payment errors.
Review and run AR Aging.
Assists with monthly close.
Assists and participates in audits, as needed.

Assist with cash receipts forecasting.
Assists on project, as assigned by HQ office in Long Beach, California.
Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

YOU’LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in business administration preferred. A combination of education and related years of experience will be considered.
2+ years of accounts receivable, billing, collections, and accounting experience preferred.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

THESE QUALIFICATIONS WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE:

Experience working with Government contracts and government billing.
Experience working with customers’ billing portals.
Experience with Infor LN, BAAN, Oracle, JDE, SAP or similar ERP system
1 year of government billing experience and knowledge of WAWF and EXOSTAR preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to manage multiple priorities.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
Regularly required to sit, use hands and fingers, operate computer keyboard and controls, and communicate verbally and in writing.
Must be physically able to commute to buildings
Occasional exposure to dust, fumes and moderate levels of noise.

Level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.

Base Pay Range (CA Only)

$50,000—$75,000 USD
