About The Position 

We are seeking an engineer to develop and teach an operations training program, as well as provide cross functional support between our mission operations, flight control, and aid real time operations for our upcoming IM2, IM3, and future missions. Ideal candidates will have previous experience in Mission Operations, Real-Time Flight Operations, or related disciplines. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Develop, teach, and document day to day training operations
  • Train on basics of operations, communications, spacecraft systems, etc. 
  • Escort guests through controlled access facilities 
  • Supplement mission operations, flight control, and real time operations teams following training program

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Real-time space operations experience (3-5 years)
  • Development of training curriculum, plans, lessons, etc.
  • Ability to work under pressure, including time management and task prioritization
  • Excellent verbal and written communications
  • General computer literacy (e.g., email, office productivity tools, etc.)
  • Experience with international partners (cultural sensitivity) -
  • Experience presenting to small to medium sized groups of technical professionals


Nice to have skills and experience: 

  • Risk management
  • Support of anomaly resolution
  • Self-starter, ability to work independently
  • Experience with mentor/mentee relationships
  • Development of sim scripts and/or performing as simulation supervisor for integrated sims
  • Knowledge of and experience with ITAR regulations and escorting guests through controlled-access facilities
  • Flight controller experience in human or robotic space applications, or other high-stress operational environments
  • Flexibility and creativity to seek, create, and utilize operations and systems engineering practices that suit a lean and agile lunar operations company without sacrificing technical excellence and integrity
