The ideal candidate will have a strong background in satellite technology, with a deep understanding of both the practical and theoretical aspects of electrical engineering in the space industry. This role requires a hands-on approach, the ability to design, develop, and test complex electrical systems for our satellite subsystems, and a strong team-oriented mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and test electrical systems for satellite applications, including power systems, communication systems, and sensors.

  • Develop control algorithms and support electric motors design and integration.

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to integrate electrical systems into satellite designs.

  • Work hands-on with hardware, assembling and testing prototypes, and troubleshooting issues.

  • Conduct theoretical analysis and simulations to validate design concepts and optimize system performance.

  • Develop and maintain documentation for designs, tests, and systems.

  • Design PCB layouts, select components, and create detailed CAD drawings and BOMs.

  • Take initiative as a self-starter, driving projects forward with minimal supervision.

  • Be willing to go the extra mile to ensure project success and meet tight deadlines.

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in electrical engineering and space technology.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science or a related field and 3-5 years of experience.

  • Strong knowledge and experience in satellite technology, including power management, control theory, and data communication.

  • Proficient in the use of simulation tools (e.g., SPICE, MATLAB) and CAD software (e.g., Altium) for circuit design and analysis.

  • Hands-on experience with electronics prototyping, soldering, and testing.

  • Solid understanding of the theory behind electrical systems and the ability to apply it in practical scenarios.

  • Must be a team player with excellent collaboration and communication skills.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Self-starter mentality with a proactive approach to tasks and challenges.

  • Must be a US citizen or national, US permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the US as a refugee or granted asylum.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A passion for tinkering, building, and experimenting with electronics and hardware.

  • Experience with programming microcontrollers (e.g., Arduino, Raspberry Pi, etc.)

  • Experience with space-grade components and understanding of the environmental challenges associated with space technology.

  • Previous experience working in a start-up environment or on space-related projects.

What We Offer:
