About the Team: 

The engine manufacturing department's mission is to product high performing products & manufacturing systems by continuously innovating on cost, quality, and lead time. Through cross-functional collaboration, high levels of accountability, and a focus on safety we support the Terran R program. We are responsible for providing design feedback on new hardware iterations, developing new manufacturing methods and systems, and ultimately building engine and vehicle hardware for testing prior to our first launch. Our team's highlights from the last 6 months include the MDC of the first Aeon-R engine, completing thousands of hours of PBF printing, building and testing over 50 valves of 26 different iterations, and implementing large scale process improvements along the way.

About the Role:

Our mission is to change people’s conception of the way rockets are built and flown. As a Machine Shop Technician, you will be responsible for the post processing of CNC machined, supporting the gross clean of parts, and assisting in shop maintenance. Your primary focus will be deburring parts, re-work of parts, tooling inventory, tool kit preparation, and general shop maintenance.

About You:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in machining or related field is a plus
• Proven experience as a machine shop technician or in a similar role
• Some understanding of machining tools, their applications, and inventory management
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Basic computer skills for inventory management and documentation

Nice to haves but not required:  

• Tool crib management 
• Deburr machined parts according to engineering drawings
• Use borescope equipment to inspect and identify FOD found in machined hardware
• Maintain general shop housekeeping and perform routine maintenance tasks
