EchoStar has an exciting opportunity for Network Security Sales Engineer in our Hughes Network Systems division. This position is located in our Germantown, MD office.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop and recommend customers’ network security measures such as Firewall, Access points, PCI compliance and other network devices.
• Coordinate network or design activities with designers of associated networks. Develop conceptual, logical, or physical network designs.
• Prepare detailed network specifications, including diagrams, charts, equipment configurations, or recommended technologies.
• Prepare design presentations and proposal for internal stakeholders and customers.
• Research new networking technologies to determine what would best support customers’ organizations in the future.

Basic Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Computer Networking, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering or a closely related field plus 6 months’ experience in network security or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Networking, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering or a closely related field plus 5 years’ experience in network security.
• Experience must include 6 months in each of the following: network firewall; access points; PCI compliance; networking technologies; IT auditing and governance; business continuity/disaster recovery; cyber defense; digital forensics; security testing and assessment; and cyber physical system security.
• Travel within U.S. required twice or less per month.

Will be eligible for discretionary bonus, with funding based on company performance.
