Duties
- Serves as a Subject Matter Expert and key advisor to senior management as lead Control and Data Management (CDM) specialist.
- Leads office planning and execution of strategies for implementing a robust and sustainable Configuration Management baseline structure.
- Leads the advanced planning and development of CDM processes, procedures, plans and requirements to successfully implement and execute the CDM functions to achieve Certification of Flight Readiness (CoFR).
- Develops, reviews, and presents accurate CDM reports and information to senior management to ensure flight vehicle is on track to meet CoFR.
- Exercises expert judgment of configuration management policies and issues and ensure analyses of policies result in feasible options or alternate proposals.
- Advises and communicates CDM concerns/issues to management and implement resolutions.
- Ensures the control of the configuration baseline, control of changes, integrity and traceability of hardware configuration throughout the lifecycle and performing verifications using CDM principles and foundations.
- Conducts configuration audits of flight and ground systems and present results to management to assure flight vehicle is certifiable for flight.

- Current Federal employees must meet qualifications, time in grade, and 90 days after competitive appointment requirements by the closing date of the announcement.

- This is a bargaining unit position - American Federation of Government Employees – Local 513.
Qualifications
To qualify for GS-14, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level:
- Developing presentations and delivering briefings, project papers, status/staff reports, and/or correspondence to senior leaders and stakeholders;
- Leading in verifications, audits, and configuration activities;
- Providing organizational resources analysis and maintaining financial records to ensure adherence to Federal regulations, policies, and procedures.
