Job description

At Orbex we are looking for an experienced Inspection Assembly Technician, to join our growing AIT team in Copenhagen. With us, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our propulsion systems and help us shape our processes for the future. 
 
Ideally, you will have some previous assembly experience from the aerospace, space, rocketry related industries or medical devices (e.g. defence) and experience with quality control.

The Position

The position includes the following tasks and responsibilities:  
  • Running our digital inspection machines both for dimensional and cleanliness inspection
  • Doing inspections with hand tools, documentation and traceability
  • Assembly testing like helium leak testing, sensor testing
  • Ownership of manufacturing quality inspection, including developing quality processes and documentation
  • Support other technicians in assemblies and parts cleaning and any maintenance activities
  • Completing inspection reports and other relevant documentation
Essential Qualifications and Experience: 
  • Proven industry experience with mechanical and electrical assembly or maintenance activities
  • Sound experience inspecting geometrical tolerances with hand tools
  • Capable of following a process without fault and show an impeccable attention to detail
  • Have a good level of eyesight and be able to inspect assemblies to a high workmanship standard
  • Previous experience developing and improving quality processes
Desirable experience and traits: 
  • Defect analysis and preventive actions: analysis of defects on parts using all kinds of measurement and analysis
  • Experience with digital and/or 3D inspection tools (like measuring microscope, CMM)

Location – Copenhagen  

Our roles need to be on-site in Denmark due to the nature of the position, export controls and security. This role is based in Copenhagen at Orbex’s Danish propulsion engineering and manufacturing site.

Security 

You must be a UK or European citizen or from a country that is a signatory to the MTCR convention. You may be required to undergo a UK BPSS check which includes a criminal record check.
