About the Role:
Software Engineering Manager experienced in agile methodologies to drive the execution of multiple projects/programs by leading a team of Software Developers and Engineers.

Reporting into the Engineering & Technology organization of Space, the selected agile leader will:

◾ Manage a team of roughly 10-15 engineers and deliver on Functional Management tasks such as: career development, salary planning, training, succession planning, and the execution of strategic staffing initiatives.
◾ Adapt to agile management methods that will require a dynamic staffing approach, depending on the time-phased needs of the program.
◾ Lead, drive, and energize a team of multiple skills and job disciplines across a number of programs & business pursuits.

The primary programmatic responsibility will be product management and cost account management. The leader will translate mission needs, end-user feedback, internal improvements and government expectations into dynamic actions. A successful manager will communicate effectively and break down complex problems into items to be completed by various individuals/teams in the organization.

About the Program
Lockheed Martin has partnered with the United States Space Force. Working collaboratively, we are challenged with finding innovative solutions to provide freedom of operations and protect the interests of the United States in space. We are developing and evolving software solutions that solve critical emerging needs:
• Generating and simulating operational level plans to explore the art of the possible, how we could defend the ultimate high ground in a future space war
• Dynamically optimizing both terrestrial and space-based sensors to provide comprehensive space domain awareness
• Strategically optimizing the placement and maneuvering of constellations of satellites to satisfy multiple, evolving priorities
Basic Qualifications:
• Ability to obtain TS/SCI clearances.
• Experience leading agile software development
• Experience working as a product owner, product manager, scrum master, release manager, and/or cost account manager
• Experience using JIRA / VersionOne for backlog management
Desired Skills:
• Familiarity with the Space Domain
• Experience directly leading team of software engineers

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
