Summary of Key Duties for this position:
You will serve as a systems engineer on an Agile Scrum Team following core DevSecOps principles to rapidly integrate, test & deliver fully functioning mission capability to end users securely and continuously. Our team leverages industry standard open-source software solutions such as GitLab, Kubernetes, Docker, and Rancher to ensure high quality software is built into our continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines. Our automation-first and “everything as code” mindset allows our systems engineers to focus their time and efforts on what is most important - delivering cutting edge functionality for our end users. You will have the opportunity to develop comprehensive test plans and procedures, provide quality oversight for core workflow and new software capabilities, and execute high-visibility demonstrations to selloff mission functionality.

Basic Qualifications:
Required Skills:
• Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with systems engineering principles, concepts, and methods
• Demonstrated understanding of full software development life cycle
• Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with system architecture, design, and development tools and methodologies
• Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with system integration, verification, and validation
• Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
• Recent on-program Systems Engineering experience (e.g., requirements development, systems test planning/execution, requirements analysis and verification, integration, etc.)
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills

Security Clearance Requirement:
• TS/SCI government security clearance
Desired Skills:
• Lead and manage the systems engineering effort for a complex program or subsystem using Agile methodologies
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Systems or Software Engineering related fields
• Develop and maintain system architecture, design, and performance requirements in an Agile environment
• Perform system analysis, modeling, simulation, and trade studies
• Develop and implement system test plans, procedures, and protocols
• Support the integration, verification, and validation of systems and subsystems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of systems and subsystems
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
• Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
• Experience with Agile tools, such as JIRA and Confluence
• Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Openstack, GCP, etc.) or traditional IT systems
• Experience with object-oriented computer programming (Java, JavaScript)
• Familiarity with DevSecOps concepts
• Familiarity with the Space Domain
• Familiarity with Lockheed Martin's systems engineering processes and procedures
• Government security clearance

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
