What is the role?
As part of ICEYE, the QA & Logistics Technician is responsible for supporting the implementation of the Quality Plan by performing hardware inspection activities during the AIT operations in Greece.
The specific responsibilities of the role are:
- Conducting visual and dimensional inspections and quality checks on mechanical parts, assemblies, and the spacecraft.
- Reporting the non-conformances, supporting the root causes analysis efforts and implementing the corrective/preventive actions in production, assembly and throughout the supply chain.
- Drafting timely and accurate reports on the outstanding issues related to the inspected parts, subsystems and assemblies.
- Preparing and reviewing inspection and test procedures.
- Checking hardware configurations and reporting on discrepancies between as-built and as-designed.
- Maintaining the scrapping procedure,
- Monitoring the production, storage and lab environments to ensure safety and quality assurance standards are met.
- Contributing to process improvement efforts within the company.
- Managing our Inbound/Outbound and Storage operations, helping our Logistics team to navigate through these on a daily basis, which consist of:
- Goods receiving: verify all material received for conformity with accompanying paperwork, checking for damage, correct part numbers, quantity, etc.
- Goods shipping: Packing, boxing, labeling and handing out to shipping companies, both locally and internationally.
- Maintaining accurate inventory is a key element in your role (identifying, labeling, placing materials, recording and/or data entering relevant information, performing cycle counts, etc).
- You will also coordinate domestic and international shipments (both Import and Export), preparing all relevant documentation following ICEYE’s unique approach to details and accuracy.
- Provide general support and information in logistics matters to domestic and international stakeholders e.g. freight forwarders, logistics suppliers, customers as well as colleagues in other subsidiaries.
- Operates simple material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, cargo dollies and other hand tools (ability to pull, push cargo pallets/containers up to 45 kg unassisted).
Requirements
Required:
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar/related position.
- Relevant qualifications, e.g. college degree/diploma in mechanical, quality assurance, or manufacturing.
- Proven hardware (e.g. materials, parts, assemblies, subsystems,systems, etc.) inspection experience.
- Strong analytical mindset.
- Good written and spoken English communication skills.
- Strong commitment to quality-oriented manufacturing.
- Attention to detail.
Preferred:
- Proven experience in the aerospace or defense industry is a great plus.
- Proven experience in assembly inspections is a plus.
Benefits
- Base salary range for this position is €1965-3500 per month (gross) contingent on your experience level, and will be negotiated individually.
