We are looking to add an Inventory Production Control Manager to our team. The ideal candidate has significant experience planning, implementing, and monitoring supply chain strategy in order to maximize production efficiency and productivity. In this position, you will oversee the production planning and scheduling activities to ensure the smooth and cost-effective operation of our manufacturing processes. This role involves coordinating with various departments, managing inventory levels, and implementing process improvements to meet production targets while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
 
Additionally, your analytical skills will contribute strongly, as you provide deep insight into spending patterns, trends, and cost reduction potential as the company continues its rapid growth.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and mentor a team of production planners, schedulers, and material handlers, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental objectives.
  • Develop detailed project plans and schedules required to effectively monitor and track manufacturing production progress and identify issues and corrective actions related to production and inventory, cost, and schedule performance.
  • Develop a process of identifying and tracking action items to closure.
  • Coordinate with Finance, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Engineering teams to stay informed of all expected inventory.
  • Track and drive inventory and WIP accuracy levels.
  • Track production control effectiveness, efficiency, and opportunities
  • Analyze production and inventory data and performance to improve productivity and efficiency while reducing costs.
  • Track and improve manufacturing performance to schedule.
  • Track and improve shipping and receiving performance levels.
  • Identify and track manufacturing and supplier non-conformances to closure.
  • Analyze supply chain data and performance to improve productivity and efficiency while reducing costs.
  • Maintain supply chain inventory and records.
  • Analyze production data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or related field.  Master’s degree strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management supporting manufacturing of high-reliability electronic products. 
  • First-hand knowledge of supplier quality systems
  • Great project management and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated experience in growing and scaling a supply chain team.
  • Experience using an ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Accumatica, etc.)
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, interpersonal and influencing skills.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to back up conclusions with data.
  • Time management skills, with the ability to separate the important tasks from the noise.
  • Sense of urgency, with ability to work well under pressure.
  • Strong Excel skills, with the ability to present concise data to internal and external stakeholders.

PREFFERED EXPERIENCE INCLUDES

  • Experience working within the Aerospace industry.
  • Experience wearing multiple hats at a rapidly growing startup company.
