The primary team is located in Tampa, Florida with distributed team members embedded directly with the customer.
 

This position requires full time work onsite at our Tampa, FL location. No telework available.

This position requires the applicant to be a U.S. citizen with Active DoD TS/SCI.

The responsibilities of a CPM include: 

  • The Cyber Project Manager serves as the Deputy of Logistics and Sustainment section.
  • Collaborate directly with site Program Manager and Logistics Department Manager daily.
  • Manage program-level scope, issues and risks, and quality management.
  • Development and delivery of presentations to customers, management, and other program stakeholders.
  • Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
  • Develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem-solving with program managers, line managers, and clients.
  • Focal point in driving engineering process development, continuous improvement, and affordability initiatives related to their specific program.
  • Frequent collaboration with internal company and external contacts for quality check inspections and create and maintain documentation.
  • Represents organization on specific projects and tracking metrics. May make presentations to small groups.
  • Spearhead team sync calls to communicate updates and drive progression of project through various phases.
  • Work with Subject Matter Experts, Product Owners, Program Budget Control POCs, and section management on a regular basis.
  • Keep thorough documentation of all communication to/from program management.
  • Review program contractual requirements and modify documentation as needed.
  • Schedule milestones and help develop adherence to master plan of technical performance objectives.
     

Basic Qualifications

  • Technical/STEM Bachelor’s degree and 5 years’ experience, or Master’s degree and 3 year experience supporting the Department of Defense.
  • US Citizenship is required with an active DoD Top Secret/SCI security clearance which was active in the last 24 months. TS/SCI Eligibility must be in place by candidate’s start date.
  • Must possess DoD 8570 Certification for IAT Level II or higher prior to start date. 
  • The candidate must have experience in leadership and project management.
  • Experience leading the performance of tasks on schedule, at cost, and achieving all requirements as either project lead (technical or manager), integrated program team, or cost account manager.
  • Strong communication (verbal and written) including presentation skills.
  • PMP Certification.
  • The ideal candidate has strong knowledge in the Cyber/IT field and has a collaborative style, with a strong sense of urgency and desire to get things done, and flexibility to adapt in a fast-changing environment.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience using Jira, Kanban
  • The candidate must be self-starting and pro-active with little direction.

What to expect:

  • During the first 30 days of employment onboarding activities to include Northrop Grumman training requirements, program overviews, system architecture familiarization, and department-specific training will establish a solid foundation for the new team member. Introductions to management and team leads will provide insight into the team dynamics while identifying key areas where the team member can provide value to the mission.
  • Day 30 through 90 will consist of further integrating the team member into daily activities with a team lead and/or manager to guide them. Tasks will be assigned in accordance with the appropriate pace needed to ensure process and team assimilation.
  • Day 90 and onward will consist of mission-guided projects and opportunities for the team member to collaborate in a cross-functional team environment. From leading day-to-day activities, to coordinating projects for team members and customers, the candidate will have the ability to invest in their future while delivering maximum value to our customer’s mission.

This position may provide the employee the flexibility of working a traditional 40-hour week or work a 9/80 schedule. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day to take every other Friday off.

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
