Job description
Omitron is seeking an Audiovisual (AV) Systems Engineer on our team at Schriever SFB, CO, supporting the National Space Defense Center (NSDC). The selected will be the administrator for proprietary AV and Video Teleconferencing (VTC) systems.

Compensation and Benefits:
The salary range for this role is $125,000 to $145,000, depending on relevant experience, location, and other factors.

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for general configuration management and documentation, along with implementing and maintaining all aspects of proprietary audiovisual systems, secure distributed KVM systems, and related networks at the NSDC.
- Administers and maintains operations floor data walls and conference room VTC systems; coordinates with the VTC Team for system deployments, conference room upgrades, system maintenance, and repairs.
- Performs ancillary maintenance actions.
- Travel up to 10%
- US Citizenship required
- Security Clearance: Must have an active TS/SCI, consent to CI Poly
- Education: Successful completion of vendor (Thinklogical SMP Tier 2 Administrator) course, provided upon hiring
- Certifications: IAT II Certification (CompTIA Sec+ preferred, Net+ etc.), or ability to complete within 6 months.
Desired Qualifications:
- Education: Associates degree in relevant Information Technology (IT) or related systems engineering field
- Experience: 4+ years of system engineering support
- Ability to clearly communicate AV system capabilities, requirements, and performance requirements with 24/7 NSDC mission personnel.
- Capable of working with an elite team of AV experts and coordinating with the communications directorate
- Ability to perform AV system maintenance to include:
- Health Checks
- Pixel damage
- Appliance configurations
- Rolling displays
- Audio problems
- Integration of non-standard systems
- Hardware, switch, appliance, and filter cleaning
- Inventory and Lifecycle Management
- Network Switch (Cisco) configuration and management
- Matrix Switch (Thinklogical) configuration and management
- Familiarity with variety of AV control systems and delivery methods (Thinklogical / Crestron / Christie / Tandberg / Projectors / Data Walls / Velocity and TLX series modules / NTP)
- Assistance to Net Admins performing security scans (ACAS, Syslog)
- Basic cabling experience (Copper and Fiber)
- Initiative to consistently learn and develop administration skills of proprietary AV system for deployment in a dynamic operations environment.
