Summary
We have a current opportunity for a Lead Network Administrator. As a part of the IT Infrastructure Team located at our facility in Littleton, Colorado you will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of our entire corporate network infrastructure to ensure seamless operations in compliance with industry regulations. Your role will involve working closely with cross-functional teams to address compliance requirements, manage security protocols, and optimize network performance. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in network administration, compliance standards and the ability to work remotely with sites across the US and EU.
Responsibilities
- Performs tasks and activities associated with network design, engineering, implementation, operations, and user support.
- Performs research and proposes test plans and maintains system design documents. Implements the System Design Lifecycle in all operations.
- Performs firmware updates, basic commands, and general patching on a variety of infrastructure devices and appliances to include but not limited to Switches, Routers, Firewalls, Wireless APs, and other networking equipment.
- Develop and maintain cross boundary network solutions (e.g., firewalls, access control lists, zero trust solutions, etc.) between multiple networks.
- Manages the Zero Trust applications and works closely with Cybersecurity for reporting.
- Advises the Change Control Board on network changes and various IT projects and their design.
- Cisco, Aruba and Fortinet networking equipment experience and training.
- Advanced Security Firewall experience and training.
- zScaler Cloud Security and Private Access knowledge and experience integrating a zero-trust environment.
Ideal Experience
- BS in Computer Science or Information Technology or related discipline, or equivalent of 8 years minimum of industry experience without a degree
- 5+ years IT/Cybersecurity experience
- Familiarity with NGFW (Next Generation FireWall)
- Experience with network infrastructure including LAN, WAN, routing, switching, monitoring and maintenance.
- Working knowledge of Layer-3, VPNs, firewall policy and VLAN management
- Experience Knowledge of Zscaler, Aruba, FortiGate, and other Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) solutions
- Management of firewalls and security devices
- Strong understanding of network Protocols; DNS, DHCP, Radius, Zero Trust,
- US citizen (no dual citizenship) with the ability to obtain a security clearance.
- Experience with remotely accessing network equipment in data centers and our physical site offices.
- Approximately 10% travel is required to Redwire offices in the US for this position.
Desired Skills
- CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) highly preferred
- Experience, Certifications or Advanced Training in these systems:
- Zscaler and other Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) solutions
- Experience or Advanced training or certifications from Cisco, Fortinet or Aruba network equipment and/or NGFW.
- Experience with Business Class Wireless Solutions
- Experience with Backup, Disaster Recovery, and Business Continuity
- General IT Infrastructure knowledge of Windows and Linux Servers and troubleshooting

Pay Range:
$108,000 - $156,500

Redwire determines pay for positions using local, national, and industry-specific survey data, for our locations throughout the US. We will evaluate external equity and the cost of labor/prevailing wage index, in the relative marketplace for jobs directly comparable to jobs within our company.
For new hires, we strive to make competitive offers allowing the new employee room for future growth. Salaries will be based on the applicant’s level of experience, education, and specialized knowledge and skills. Additionally, we consider the external market rate, the amount we have budgeted internally, and internal equity within the company for the same position. An employee/candidate with a stronger skill set will be considered for higher pay.
