What You’ll Do:
As the Director of Federal Contracts you will be responsible for overseeing all federal contract activities, ensuring compliance with government regulations, and managing the full lifecycle of contract management. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of federal acquisition regulations, excellent negotiation skills, and a proven track record in managing large-scale federal contracts.

Position Responsibilities:
Contract Management:
- Oversee the full lifecycle of federal contracts, from proposal development to contract closeout.
- Ensure compliance with all federal acquisition regulations (FAR) and other applicable laws and regulations.
- Manage contract negotiations, modifications, and amendments.
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Develop and implement contract management policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal regulations.
- Monitor contract performance and address any issues or discrepancies.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
Strategic Planning and Execution:
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute the federal contracting strategy.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the federal sector.
- Provide guidance and support to proposal teams during the bid and proposal process.
Stakeholder Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with federal clients, subcontractors, and partners.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all contract-related matters with federal agencies.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and meetings.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a team of contract professionals.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team capabilities.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Perform other duties as assigned (to be less than 10% of the responsibilities listed above)
Pre-Requisites
- Must be eligible to obtain or maintain US Government Security Clearance
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Contract Management, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in federal contract management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- In-depth knowledge of federal acquisition regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and other applicable regulations.
- Proven experience in managing large-scale federal contracts and complex negotiations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time

Compensation Details: $160,000 - $210,000 annually
