What is the role? 

You will lead and manage the CFRP manufacturing for ICEYE in Spain and report to the Director of Missions and Manufacturing. This includes ensuring that we are able to continuously deliver against our delivery commitments, build and scale the team and operations with continuous improvement in mind. 

You will be tasked to ensure the ICEYE Spain manufacturing site is well aligned with the global ICEYE manufacturing production and AIT (automation, integration, and testing) approach.

This  role is accountable for developing the team (~20 colleagues with expectation to scale) and process for manufacturing that supports both satellites and HAPS. You will continuously deliver to plan while building an operation that delivers at scale and optimizes for cost, speed, and quality.

Requirements

What will you need to be successful in this role?

  • At least 8 years of experience running a manufacturing site similar in scale and complexity of ICEYE (team of ~20)
  • Excellent eye for operational improvement and a hands-on approach to leadership aimed at engaging teams 
  • Technical background in CFRP is required to ensure mastery of domain concepts and complexities with the aim to contribute to solving problems
  • Proven skills in how manufacturing operations are improved and scaled from early phases to more mature phases
  • Candidates must have experience of different production maturity phases
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic operations environment–where speed, messiness, and change is increased 
  • Efficient and motivational communication skills
  • Ready to move to where the manufacturing site is and be present daily as we improve and scale 
  • Excellent command of Spanish and English–both written and spoken 
  • Ability to work across organizations and ensure cultural values are successfully implemented considering also the local cultural values

  • Base salary range for this position is 6,250-8,000 EUR per month (gross) contingent on your experience level, and will be negotiated individually.
