EchoStar has an exciting opportunity for Data Science and Analytics Engineer

in our Hughes Network Systems division. This position is located in our Germantown, MD office.

Job Responsibilities:

• Design Tableau dashboards to present and visualize the results from the processed data, aiding other teams in troubleshooting and analysis.
• Create a data pipeline to extract raw data, transform it, and store it in Google Big Query.
• Create automation scripts to run video tests for multiple streaming services using Raspberry Pi.
• Analyze performance statistics for various gateways.
• Extract data from Raspberry Pi, transform and load data into Google Cloud platform.
• Design and implement an ML algorithm to assess video performance metrics.

Basic Requirements: 

• Master’s degree in Analytics, Data Science, Computer Engineering or a closely related field plus 6 months’ experience in data modeling and analytics or Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Data Science, Computer Engineering or a closely related field plus 5 years’ experience in data modeling and analytics.
• Experience must include 6 months in each of the following: ML models; GCP; Cloud; Google Big Query; Data visualization; Python; SQL; R; JavaScript; and CI/CD.

Will be eligible for discretionary bonus, with funding based on company performance.
