Job Summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Security Specialist III/IV. As a member of the Personnel Security team, you will be responsible for processing incoming visit authorization requests (VARs) and creating access lists for large classified and unclassified conferences. You will support the corporation in meeting mission requirements by ensuring all visitors are properly cleared. You will provide on-site support for all security actions in accordance with corporate and governmental polices and directives.  

Work Model

This is a full-time position based in Chantilly, VA, which requires 100% onsite work.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Process DoD and SCI visits in accordance with government regulations.
  • Enter incoming visitor information into the Security Information Management System (SIMS).
  • Verify security clearances of visiting personnel via Scattered Castles.
  • Provide on-site support to meetings and conferences by issuing badges to conference personnel.
  • Back-up the outgoing visitor control representative by assisting with outgoing VARs .
  • Perform courier-related duties such as wrapping, receipting, and transporting classified material.
  • Assist with random package inspections of personnel entering and exiting the facility.
  • Assist with the delivery and pick-up of secure crates for classified moves between buildings.
  • Additional duties include performing a variety of clerical and administrative tasks within the Security and Safety Directorate.

What You Need to be Successful

Minimum Requirements for the Security Specialist III:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and 5 years of experience.
  • Current TS/SCI.  U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance. 
  • Knowledge of handling classified and Sensitive But Unclassified (SBU) information.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. 

How You Can Stand Out

  • Security Information Management System (SIMS) experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college. 
  • Knowledge of DISS and Scattered Castles databases.  
  • COMSEC background.
