Production Scheduler

What We Need
Kymeta is looking for a Production Scheduler. You will be responsible for planning and coordinating production schedules to ensure timely completion of orders while optimizing resources and minimizing downtime. Your role will involve collaborating closely with production teams, procurement, and other departments to maintain efficient workflow and meet production targets. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities are essential for success in this role.
To be successful as a Production Scheduler you embody a strong sense of independence and have excellent scheduling and planning skills. You are also able to manage time effectively and enforce production deadlines.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Utilize the ERP system to integrate accounting, manufacturing, and supply chain data, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
- Develop production orders based on demand forecasts and inventory levels and monitor and adjust workflow for efficiency.
- Collaborate with supply chain and engineering to ensure parts availability, update BOMs, and maintain configuration management.
- Communicate effectively between teams to address production constraints and implement process improvements.
- Create and manage production documents to ensure version control and traceability.
- Make informed decisions on in-house manufacturing vs. external sourcing.
- Generate and publish production performance metrics and forecasts, responding to production and material shortages.
- Coordinate Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) to manage material and product end-of-life and minimize obsolescence.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- 5+ years of proven experience in production planning, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems and their applications in production control.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to read and decipher engineering drawings, models, and specifications.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
- Experience with data presentation, MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables), SQL, and Power BI.
EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree minimum (Supply Chain Preferred) for position or 5+ years production planning/scheduling experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
COMPENSATION
Kymeta is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. In the spirit of pay transparency, we have determined the salary range for this position to be $60,000 - $100,000 This is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would be atypical, in order to allow for future and continued salary growth. Compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to: skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and geography. The total compensation package for this position includes an annual target bonus of 10%, stock options, and benefits listed below. We believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer.
